Snoe Beauty Hair Heroes with Intense Argan Oil Review
I just kept and kept on seeing praises for this hair conditioner/treatment that despite my being kuripot (cheapskate :-) ) and generally preferring drugstore hair products, I finally dropped by the Snoe Beauty stall and got myself a bottle of Snoe Hair Heroes with Intense Argan Oil. So, after weeks of testing…am I disappointed? Not? Keep reading to find out.
What the company says about the product:
Revolutionary 5-in-one
Cleansing conditioner
Conditioner
Deep Treatment Mask
De-tangler
Leave-on Treatment
Lavish your hair with Snoe’s Revolutionary 5-in-one Intense Argan Oil Moroccan Liquid Gold. This cleansing conditioner replaces shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioner, de-tangler, leave-on conditioner, and even shaving cream. For all hair types, 5-in-one is formulated to add moisture without weighing hair down. It effectively cleanses & hydrates hair without stripping or robbing it of its natural nutrients and oils. It has astonishing healing, conditioning, and anti-aging properties to keep your hair nourished and revitalized, to keep you looking beautiful.
I see now that it can’t simply be called a conditioner because Hair Heroes is multipurpose. I only use this as a regular conditioner and as a leave-on conditioner though. Right now I just don’t have the time or energy to do a weekly deep conditioning mask, and I don’t have the need for a cleansing conditioner. And anyway I have around five different bottles of shampoo in the shower that I should use up.
The surprise is that I prefer using this as a leave-on conditioner. The leave-ons that I’d tried before I wanted to like but never did because while they gave my parched tresses much-needed of moisture, they also mostly made my tresses sticky and weighed down in our hot, humid climate. Hair Heroes, as a leave-on conditioner, is great. Simply great. When my hair’s still damp, I use about six pumps and use my fingers to comb that through my tresses.
Then I dry my hair and comb it. Nearly no tangles, my tresses are soft, and a lot of the frizz is noticeably gone. Background on my tresses: dry, colored, naturally straight, and sorta fine. The result is hair that is behaved. My tresses look bagsak but not limp or weighed down. It’s really cool that even through the following day my hair still feels softer than it usually does. I guess all this may sound a little advert-like, but I bought this product myself.
As a regular conditioner though, used after shampoo, I find it average. For me it just didn’t perform as well when used that way.
The scent of it I initially found strong, but surprisingly, I’ve come to like it. I’m not sure how to describe it…it’s a little perfumey and reminds me of coconut though it doesn’t smell like it. If you’re particular about scents, test Hair Heroes in actual before buying.
The texture of Hair Heroes is slightly thick, a little waxy like skin products with silicones ingredients feel. It’s not sticky though. Sometimes I don’t get to wash my hands after applying this as a leave-on, I just wipe it off and the residue feels kinda moisturizing on my skin. This is available at Snoe Beauty stores and on their online store. It costs PhP 499 for a 250 ml bottle.
Snoe Beauty Hair Heroes with Intense Argan Oil – Pros:

- The effect isn’t short-lived. I still see it the day after.
- Doesn’t weight down my tresses or make them oily at all.
- Doesn’t irritate my scalp or give me dandruff.
- The texture is easy to work with. Slightly thick but smooth and not sticky.
- Convenient pump dispenser.
- Cute logo on the bottle.
- It’s multipurpose.
- Locally available.
Snoe Beauty Hair Heroes with Intense Argan Oil – Cons:
- The price is expensive, especially compared to other local and drugstore brands.
- No complete ingredients list on the bottle or website.
- Personally I found it average used as a regular conditioner.
Overall:
I guess you can see that I’m not disappointed in this product. Even though its price is more than I usually spend on, I find that it’s worth it and I’d buy it again. I would also really like to try out the other items in the Hair Heroes line.

Can you suggest other cheaper products for the hair? Having the same purpose? thanks!
Hmm…I don’t know of any other product that can be used both as regular and leave-on conditioner. I haven’t looked very hard, but I don’t recall seeing anything like that at drugstores or supermarkets. For a regular conditioner, I like Dove’s Straight and Silky Conditioner. I also have Dove Intense Repair Conditioner which I wrote a review of, but I prefer the Straight and Silky variant. :)
I prefer using this as a hot oil treatment without the heat. ;) I slightly spritz my hair with water and I apply this with my hands. Then I cover it with a shower cap for 30mins to an hour and voila! my hair looks healthier and tamed.
I agree with you that as a conditioner, doesn’t really do anything different from other conditioners. I haven’t tried this as a leave on because the smell bothers me a bit.
Do you rinse your hair after the 30 mins?
Yeah, as an after- shampoo conditioner, I find that my Dove conditioners bring better results. The smell fades naman as the hair dries. :)
Yup, I rinse it :D I find it too heavy if I leave it on lang eh..
Sounds like one amazing product!
Yeah, it’s pretty good René!
Hi
I’ve been using this product for about 2 and a half weeks but just as a conditioner/treatment. I haven’t tried it as a leave-on. I completely agree with you on your review however I find the smell extremely off-putting! It smells like a horrid, cheap car air-freshener.
I agree that as a conditioner, there’s nothing that makes it any better than more “commercial” (and more reasonably priced!) conditioners like Dove or Pantene however I’m intrigued by your observation that it works better as a leave-on product.
I just wanted to know if the smell remains on your hair when you use it as a leave-on or does it fade after a while. I’m worried that the smell will drive me crazy and someone may find me with my head in the office rest room sink, trying to wash my hair to remove the smell.
Thanks!
Hi Kristine, I’m weird, I seem to be the only one who likes the smell of this conditioner. I really only use it now as a leave-on, my drugstore conditioner’s still better as regular conditioner. Unfortunately, the smell lingers on the hair when used as leave-on. I mean, it does fade as the hair dries or as hours pass, so the scent doesn’t remain as strong or potent as compared to when it’s first applied, but it doesn’t go away completely. I still get faint whiffs of it later in the day.
Thanks! I think I’ll give it a try over the weekend when I’m at home so if I really can’t stand the scent I can just rinse my hair :)
Are there any other Argan oil based products you recommend? I’m such a fan of Argan oil.
Right, you can always rinse if the smell really bothers you. :) Or do as Angel does and use it as a sort of hot oil/hair mask treatment. This is actually the first Argan oil-based product I’ve tried. This works well for me, so I’d love to try out more. How ’bout you, any recommendations? :)
