Small Uniqlo Haul
This past weekend I finally got to visit Japanese clothing store Uniqlo at Mall of Asia. Well actually I was at the same mall earlier, a few days after the opening of the store, but the line was crazy and I just didn’t have the time or patience to wait in such a long line. So I just waited it out ’til the crowds cleared. On Saturday, which was actually my birthday, I dropped by the store with my mom and ended up getting a few items.
Plus one more after the cut.
I thought the store was pretty big…I was a little overwhelmed by the choices. I didn’t know where to look first. There were a lot of women’s shirts and tank tops but I didn’t like anything enough to buy. What caught my attention were the men’s UT shirts, where the small size is just the right, loose-shirt fit on me. A lot of the designs were out of small though, and this Space Brothers shirt was one of the few that did have a small left. It’s based on Space Brothers, a Japanese Manga series about two brothers who, as kids, dreamed of being astronauts. The fabric feels soft on my skin.
The full-length leggings, which are on the right in the photo above, were the only thing I tried on in the fitting room. They are so comfy! Unlike a lot of leggings which seem to be made of lycra material, these are made of a stretchy, lightweight, cotton-like material. Seriously comfortable, and the medium size fits me perfectly. These come in both plains and prints, but I do wish they had more designs and colors. Loving the pair of stripes and dots that I got.
I wanted to get a dress and there were lots, but I found most of them too plain…’til I found this polka-dotted polo dress (can you tell I’m drawn to black, gray, and white?). It looks pretty much like the polo dresses at Kamiseta but this fits me so much better. It’s got this stretchy fabric which fits me like a glove. It’s wet and has lint in the photo above ’cause it was just washed. Hehe.
And there’s my small Uniqlo haul! We also got stuff for other members of the family. I’m definitely gonna go back for for the bra tops, the underwear, loungewear, and other stuff. How ’bout you, have you visited the store yet?
