San San Perfectly Pink Nail Polish Review

I couldn’t wait to show this to you all, it’s currently my favorite cheap find—the San San Perfectly Pink Nail Polish! This was my first time to try anything from San San Cosmetics. I think there’s only one HBC store in our area and it’s out of my way, but I made time to go and check it out. Unfortunately the store didn’t have a lot of products to choose from, but it was worth the trip because I came across this nail polish.

In natural light

San San had several shades of polishes to choose from, and they’re PhP 37 each. San San products can be purchased at HBC branches and Landmark department stores.

Was cloudy and rainy when I took this pic and the one below

This is called Perfectly Pink, but it’s not straight up pink. To my eyes it’s a coral pink, with fine gold and silver shimmer. It sorta reminds me of the Nars Orgasm Blush. It looked pretty in the bottle, that’s why it got my attention, and it turned out to look even prettier on the nails. At times, I think in dimmer, indoor lighting, it looks like it has just a little bit more orange in it.

This is a summery color, and I think it looks feminine, and fun yet not too loud on the nails. It’s the type of nail polish that I’d envision wearing with a sundress. It seems to make my hands look a bit more tan at times, which is not really a problem with me. I love the gold shimmers in it which nicely complement the coral pink color of the base.

A drawback to this product is that it applies kind of sheer. I need three coats to get it to look more opaque on my nails, but even then when I look closely, I can still see my nails lines. I applied it yesterday with a base coat but no top coat, and now, just one day later, I can see a tiny chip on my index finer already. However, the formula of it is quite smooth and flows and applies without much problem. It pools on some areas on the nail but it self-levels once dry. It’s nice too that it doesn’t take ages to dry. Also, if you take a look at the ingredients, you’ll find that it’s big 3-free.

San San Perfectly Pink Nail Polish – What I like about it:

  • The pretty, summery color of it of course. Love those fine shimmers in there too.
  • Smooth formula. Generally easy to apply.
  • Doesn’t take too long to dry.
  • Brush is okay.
  • It’s big 3-free.
  • It’s locally available.
  • It’s very affordable.

San San Perfectly Pink Nail Polish – What I don’t like about it:

  • Needs about 3 coats to look opaque.
  • Chipped rather quickly on me. Make sure to use a top coat with this.

Overall:

A must-try among local nail polishes, especially if you’re into pinks, corals, summery hues, or just for something pretty but not flashy. It needs a little more time and patience for additional coats, plus you really need to wear a top coat with it, but it’s worth the extra effort.

WOW! Dear, this shade is gorgeous! Very feminine, but not so loud. I’m new to this nail polish thing, and while doing a Google search, your beautiful photo caught my attention. Will keep this shade in mind. Thank for the review! =)
