Revlon is a drugstore make up brand that offers good if not great cosmetic choices for women of all ages. I had a daft perspective that Revlon caters mainly to middle-aged women and up because it’s the most common product I see among women those age. Some of my Aunts and older cousins have Revlon lipsticks as staple on their beauty kit. But I was wrong, they have plenty of shades to choose from and none of it are dowdy at all.

I love their lippies from the Matte to the Lustrous kind. The pigmentation of their lippies is just undeniable and the staying power as well makes your Php450 worth it.

Their tube container is also very innovative, with that transparent plastic to make searching for the shade you want easier and convenient. I’ve been drawn to coral shades lately, from blushes to lippies and lip liners too. Though they say Fall trend sides on bolder, darker lip color, my mood and preferences sways to coral-y peachy shades that some considers using only during summer.

It’s very pigmented and that swatch [photo above] was only one swipe. Revlon delivers the same quality with MAC lipsticks for half its price. I should really consider this fact because MAC opening in Cebu is such a buzz-kill for my bank account.

Here it is on my lips. Not the best photo because I wasn’t able to use my DSLR. It did not do justice on how pretty the shade is. Sorry for the lopsided application, I just dabbed it on and took the photo hurriedly. No liners and all.

What I like about the Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Coral Berry: PROS

1. Highly pigmented.
2. Opaque upon application. Yey! One swipe can cover my lips totally.
3. Satin finish is pretty, not over the top with gloss.
4. No shimmers at all.
5. Moisturizes my lips.
6. Non-drying with a creamy feel.
7. Does not give me that gross feeling from its creaminess.
8. Last for five hours or more.
9. Cute and convenient packaging.
10. Plenty of shades to choose from most of it are shades of pinks, berrys, corals and red that are great for every day wear.
11. Affordable, since it gets the job done!

What I do NOT like about the Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Coral Berry: CONS

I only have one negative thing to say about the product; not all shades on their website are available on Revlon counters! Some just carry 6 to 10 shades at a time. I asked the sales representative about it and they only get a few stocks per release date.

Overall:

Revlon’s Super Lustrous lipsticks are one of the best lippies out there. It’s creamy, does not shimmer, lasts for a long time, and cost-effective. What more can you ask for? I have yet to try their lipstick in pearl finish, I have the crème and matte which are working really great for me.

On their website, they carry 72 shades but most of what I like is not available in their counters. Revlon Philippines should work on this. Like what I always say, “the more the merrier”. Haha. I’ll be collecting more of their lippies.
