Pure Beauty Youth Restore Eye Cream with Black Pearl
I always include an eye cream in my skin care regimen because the area around my eyes is riddled with premature wrinkles, dark circles, and even some millia. Yikes, huh? I don’t expect miracles from these creams, but use them regularly to keep my eye area properly hydrated. I picked this up at Watson’s over 3 months ago and used it daily. I think now would be a good time to review it.
Product information from the back of the box:
The precious Tahitian black-tipped pearl, known as the jewel of the sea, is rich in minerals, organic protein (albuminoid) and other activator. It nourishes and energizes the skin and in particular helps regenerate aging skin.
Youth Restore Eye Cream’s high concentration of unique SYN-COLL extract promotes the renewal of the skin around the eye contour area, smoothes fine lines and reduce puffiness. It also helps counteract the damage brought by the loss of elastic fibers and peptides while at the same time encourages the production of natural collagen and tightens the skin. The eye contour area appears smoother and revitalized for a radiant and refreshed look.
I had been hearing some good things about Pure Beauty eye creams, so when I happened to pass by the store, I checked them out. Only to forget which particular variant had been getting raves. They had 2-3 types of eye creams available, and I chose the Youth Restore Eye Cream with Black Pearl based mostly because of the sleek black packaging. Plus it was on sale. I got mine marked down during at PhP 239, from the original price of PhP 300 plus.
It has a light, fresh floral scent which fades quickly. The cream has a lightweight, non-sticky texture and gets absorbed within 3 minutes. As I mentioned, I used this daily for nearly 3 months, every morning after applying my moisturizer. I stopped using it daily a few weeks ago, but still use it often, each time I apply undereye concealer, to prep the area for smooth application of the concealer.
What I like about the Pure Beauty Youth Restore Eye Cream with Black Pearl:
• The light non-oily, non-sticky consistency which is great for daytime use.
• It leaves my undereyes smooth.
• It didn’t irritate the delicate area around my eyes.
• A little goes a long way—my tube still feels over half full, judging by the weight of it.
• The scent of it isn’t overwhelming.
• Hygienic tube packaging.
• It’s really affordable.
What I don’t like about the Pure Beauty Youth Restore Eye Cream with Black Pearl:
• It produced no long-term benefits or changes to whatsoever.
• It doesn’t contain any SPF.
• If your eye area is extremely dry or if you prefer a more moisturizing cream for night time, this might not be enough.
Overall:
The Pure Beauty Youth Restore Eye Cream with Black Pearl makes for a nice, inexpensive, everyday eye cream ideal to use in places with hot, humid climates, since it doesn’t feel heavy and offers light moisturization. However, it doesn’t offer any SPF, and would most probably not be hydrating enough for dryer, more mature skin.
