I found a free, generous sample (10 g rams) of Pond’s White Beauty Naturals Day Cream tucked into my paper bag of purchases from the beauty section of Robinson’s Department Store. I’m always on the lookout for an inexpensive and easily accessible, lightweight but moisturizing cream for daytime use, so I was glad to try this. The White Beauty Naturals line focuses on making the skin lighter and more even, and incorporates Camellia leaf extract into its ingredients.
Pond’s Institute uncovered a superior ingredient from nature for proven fair skin: the Camellia leaf coupled with the existing superior lightening technology found in Pond’s White Beauty this creates a proven skin lightening result, unique only to Pond’s White beauty Naturals.
With Camellia Leaf Extract, this lightweight and non-greasy moisturizer reduces dark spots giving you pinkish white skin.
- Good Makeup Base
- Contains multiple range UV protection
- Dermatologist tested
I’m not really into whitening products, but I do want to reduce the dark spots on my face. When I use any whitening facial products, I just apply it on my neck as well so that my face won’t end up looking lighter than my neck. That’s what I did with the White Beauty Naturals Day Cream. Even in the heat and humidity, it felt light and didn’t make me feel more sticky or greasy.
The cream is white in color and smells nice—a sweet, floral-herbal scent. The scent isn’t mild, but isn’t overwhelming either and fades in 10 minutes or so. My skin feels smoother right after application, and the cream gets absorbed very quickly. It has a slight mattifying effect, which is good if your next step is applying powder products, or if your skin is oily.
However, my skin is dry and this is simply not moisturizing enough for me. My face begins to feel dry in just a few hours, and flaky areas are once again obvious. I think this is probably more suitable for people with oily or combination skin.
- It feels very light on the skin which is great for the super humid weather we have.
- It smells alright.
- It didn’t cause any pimples or irritation.
- If you want to sample it first, this sample size is available for purchase.
- It’s very affordable. This 10g sachet costs only PhP 20, a 20g tube costs P70, and the 50 g jar is PhP 249.
- You can easily buy it at supermarkets, drugstores, and most malls.
And what I don’t like about the Pond’s White Beauty Naturals Day Cream:
- This isn’t so moisturizing. The moisturizing effect of it is very short lived and only lasts a few hours on my dry skin.
- Has no SPF, which I prefer to have in my day creams.
This cream is too lightly moisturizing for my dry skin. It’s pretty decent but it would have been better if it had SPF since it’s a day cream after all. Those with oily or combination skin who want an affordable, lightweight moisturizer can try this though. The 20 g sample size should last a few weeks.
