Nivea Med Protection Lip Balm

Nivea Med Protection Lip Balm

Hello ladies!

Keeping our lips healthy is really important especially when the weather is cold or extremely dry. If there is one lip product that I would always carry around with me then it is definitely a lip balm! I cannot stand dry and chapped lips. Aside from proper rehydration we can also help our lips become healthy by applying balm or other products that will protect and nourish it.

Today, I will be reviewing the Nivea Med Protection Lip Balm. Nivea products are a staple in my house since this is the only brand that doesn’t trigger my sinusitis. I love their lotions so much and their fruity lip balms. There was this time when my lips chapped really bad because it was so dry that I had to look for another balm that will not just moisturize but also protect, since my current lip balm isn’t doing the job. Then I saw this Nivea med protection while I was paying Watsons a visit to buy some toiletries. I grabbed one because I was intrigued by the “Med Protection”.

Nivea+Med+Protection+Lip+Balm Nivea Med Protection Lip BalmProduct Description from the website:

Repairs, protects and strengthens the condition of lips with bisabolol and wheat germ oil. A definite must-have for cracked lips or very dry weather conditions! With SPF 15 to protect against UVA and UVB rays.

When I got home I searched the internet for one of the ingredients, Bisabolol, since I’m not familiar with it and it is a key ingredient in this product. I found out that it is greatly used in the cosmetic world for it soothes the skin because it comes from the chamomile plant which is known for its anti inflammatory and cell regeneration properties. Bisabolol is colorless to slightly yellow in color oil that has a tinge of sweet floral smell.

On to my review, I am so in love with this! After a week of using the product, my lips are now in a much better condition. I doesn’t flake nor feel dry anymore. Thanks to this product! This is now my HG lip balm! It’s light and not sticky which I like because I don’t like that sticky feeling on my lips. This also has no color which I think is nice since it’s supposed to heal the lips and I think dyes or color sometimes cause irritation. In terms of the amount of product, it has 4.8 grams which I think would last a couple of months depending on usage. In my case I apply lip balm 2-3 times a day. The packaging is simple and very much plain with the cap color in mint green. Some might find it very boring but in my case I am not really concerned with the packaging as long as the product is good and effective.

NONE!!

Overall:

I really love this that I use it every single day before applying any lip color or when I feel like I need to reapply to keep my lips looking healthy and nourished plus the SPF 15 and UVA and UVB protects the lips from the harmful UV rays. I love how it doesn’t have any color so it won’t affect the intensity of any lip color that I’ll be putting on. Will definitely buy this product again! To all the ladies and even men who want to have supple and healthy lips go ahead and try this lip balm!
