My Lipstick Organization – Before and After
Recently I bought an acrylic lipstick holder, and after transferring my lipsticks to it from their old storage, I realized I should have gotten one much, much earlier. It is love! If you like your cosmetics and other things all in order and organized, you might love it too. Anyways, I thought I’d post some before and after photos of my lipstick organization and storage.
So here’s before…
Not a lot no? Haha. Friends who follow my blog think I have drawers and cabinets overflowing with makeup since I review a lot of stuff, but the fact is, I do not. I’m not really a collector. I don’t keep cosmetics for the sake of having them or for reference. Rather, I keep items that I know I will use and still like. If I know that I won’t be able to get much use of something I’d prefer that someone else be able to get some use out of it. I’m not saying anyone else should do the same as I do. I honestly believe in the saying, to each his own!
I edit my stash at least once a month and pictured above are the lipsticks (and some glosses) I currently have, I think there are just one or two not included in there. I used to keep them in this old, yellowing, with stickers-peeled-off stack of plastic drawers I found in our bodega (cleaned it of course).

Top view. I’m in a MAC phase. MAC lippies stored in boxes so I can see the shade names easily. Glosses stored in a separate container.
It looks small but it can store 24 lipsticks. And I still have space for a bunch more!
I ordered this container online but I think there are probably similar ones in malls, I’ll probably look for storage stuff for my other cosmetics when the mood strikes.
It is so nice to see lipsticks arranged that way as shown on your last 2 photos. I think it is time to organize mine too. =) I like this post and I like your MAC collection as well. Hihi.

I did the same a few weeks ago! ;) it feels good to have an organized make-up storage :) I bought several acrylic containers too so that I can easily spot my stuff – I tend to be ‘out of sight, out of mind’ hahaha
Yes, it feels so good to revamp makeup storage! :) I think for people who have a lot of makeup out of sight out of mind applies most of the time. Hehe. I wanna buy more acrylic containers, I’ve only started with my lipsticks pa lang.

Do you mean with the label at the bottom of the tube showing? No, because the tip of the cap is rounded.
