Maybelline Superaway Lipcolor Remover Review
There are chemicals infused in some cosmetics that can’t be easily removed by ordinary soap and water. Some even have long term effects on the skin. I will never ever sleep without cleansing my face properly and removing all residues of makeup. This is where make-up removers come into play. Though most of us focus more on our face and eyes- investing on good make up removers like Clinique Take The Day Off Remover and Lancome Bi Facil Eye Makeup Remover Review. We tend to neglect our lips. I used to take my lips for granted and just rub on them like a crazy woman till they become very dry.
0.5 oz tube of Maybelline Superaway Lipcolor Remover. Product in Inches : 1.5 x 1.2 x 4.2
I’m super glad I bought the Maybelline Superaway Lipcolor Remover. It has made wiping off my lipstick easier. I’m fickle–minded too when it comes to choosing the right lip color to match my look for the day. Why it took me so long to think of purchasing a lipstick remover, I have no idea!
Especially now that transfer-proof lippies are all the trend, getting a remover is a must! The precision application tip makes it easy to apply sans the mess. I love that it leaves my lips moisturized after the removal and it does not have any scent at all. The packaging is very convenient too. I can just put it in my “kikay” kit. It looks just like any ordinary lip gloss.
Image 1: before application of the remover
Product on my lips: Lined with Nichido Lip Liner in Mauve, Styli-Style Timeless Lipstick in Love and topped off with e.l.f. Minty Lip Gloss.
Product Claim:
• Perfect removal of transfer-proof lipcolor.
• Leaves lips soft and conditioned
• Portable tube with precision application tip for easy, no-mess application
• Dermatologist tested; fragrance free
How to Use: Apply remover to lips using applicator. Press lips together for a few seconds. Use tissue to remove. Product conditions lips so no need to rinse.
I did not use any applicator. I simply dab it on like a lip gloss and waited for 5 seconds (I counted) while smocking my lips. It actually feels like a lip gloss and if you look closely, you can see the colors blending in with the remover. I used a facial tissue to wipe off the lip stain in one swoosh. I didn’t have to rub on it like I used to. It really made removing the lipstick easier.
Warning: Not for use on or around eye area.
Some might want to save a buck or two and use this for eye makeup removal. It’s a good thing that the precaution is on the tube itself.

What I like about Maybelline Superaway Lipcolor Remover:
• Well-designed tip, no mess in the application.
• Very simple to use.
• Affordability. It only cost Php 250.00 in eBay.
• Not drying.
•Leaves my lips moisturized and smooth.
• No scent
•Very gentle. No irritations or whatsoever.
• This 0.5 oz tube can last for a long time.
What I do NOT like about Maybelline Superaway Lipcolor Remover:
• There are some lipcolor that are left that settled into fine lines.
Overall:
The Maybelline Superaway Lipcolor Remover pretty much did what it said on the product claim and I’m happy about that. The lipstick settling into fine line might be due to the lippie I was using because when I put on the Revlon Matte Lipstick, the result was different. Will I buy it again? Definitely yes. I can be as fickle-minded as I want about my lipcolor, there would be no problem about it.
