Lush PS I Love You Review

“This Valentine’s Day, express your adoration with a romantic quintet of treats for the bath and shower. Hand your beloved this gorgeous keepsake box, filled with five beauties sure to tickle and delight their senses! Nestled inside is a Love Potion massage bar, a slice of Sweetheart soap, Ro’s Argan body conditioner, A Million Kisses lip tint and a 2ml vial of Love perfume. And after they’ve used up all their fabulous romantic goodies, they can use the hatbox to store all their future valentine’s and love letters.

Do it in the shower: With no bath products inside, P.S. I Love You is a shower-friendly gift for those who prefer to do it standing up.

This gift contains our best-selling Love perfume, which is exclusive to mail order!

The name says it all: Can’t whisper the L-word? Let this gift do the talking for you.”

Lush+PS+I+Love+You+Review2 Lush PS I Love You ReviewI love that the company finally created a gift set for those who do not fancy baths. I mean let’s get real; it’s not that practical here in the Philippines. I know my friends adore their bath bombs and bath melts, but I’ve always been a shower kind of girl. I was initially apprehensive when I was gifted this thinking it was a mix of bath products, but upon actually reading the things in it I was so thrilled that they were shower items! Yey for awesome girl friends!

The wrapper has sort of this whimsical old-fashioned vibe going on with hummingbirds, roses and letters of love. Making it a perfect gift the girl who has this quiet beauty to the girl who adores Coco Chanel. (Read: Perfect gift for your close friends or family! Winner!)

The Bottom of the box has all the information of manufacturing and expiration date, being that Lush mostly has natural items, their products may have a shorter shelf life, others should be refrigerated to prevent from going stale. I was pleased that the items are good until 2013, gives me time to actually enjoy the products. Also none of them need to be refrigerated, so that’s less hassle!

Lush+PS+I+Love+You+Review3 Lush PS I Love You ReviewAs I unboxed it, colorful hues of pink, green and orange peanuts greeted me as I opened the box.

Lush+PS+I+Love+You+Review4 Lush PS I Love You ReviewHere are my thought on the things I’ve used so far…

Lush+PS+I+Love+You+Review5 Lush PS I Love You Review2 mL / .06 Love Fragrance

“Fall in love with sweet scent of crisp apples and spicy cinnamon”.

I initially thought that this would somehow smell like DKNY’s Be Delicious. (Note: this was how it reacted to my body chemistry, fragrances can be so personal depending how one’s body heat and pH respond to the fragrance). Love Fragrance opened up with a very citrus scent—far from apples and almost leaning to a lemony scent comparable to Sexy Peel soap. It finally settled down to that spicy sexy cinnamon dry down. This would make a nice evening scent or a winter/spring scent when it’s chillier. In short, it’s a nice “cold weather” scent. I could not imagine wearing this on a hot humid Manila day because the cinnamon will be overpowering. You can get away with it I guess if you just dab on a little to the neck and wrist. I personally wore it on a night out with the girls (and got lots of compliments) or a nice dinner. =)

What I like:

• The scent itself is quite unique; if you like spicy scents definitely take a whiff of this one!
• Lasts long! On a date night, mine lasted throughout the night!

What I don’t like:

• Because the scent is quite spicy, it can be a touch unpleasant in hot weather. People around may not enjoy cinnamon…

Lush+PS+I+Love+You+Review6 Lush PS I Love You Review60g / 2.1 oz Sweetheart soap

“Soap is sexy luxurious and sensual jasmine, mandarin and vanilla soap for silky soft skin.”

I initially thought that this would be a dark vanilla bordering to amber scent soap. I’m glad I was so wrong! I really like this soap! It’s a very feminine, sophisticated scent. If you like  the scent of jasmine you must at least ask a sample of this! It also moisturizes very well, I hoped the scent could linger more. I wish they can make a perfume of it really! The jasmine is really the star of the soap, the mandarin and vanilla notes compliment it very well!

What I like:

• If it isn’t obvious yet, I absolutely adore it, they really took the jasmine essence.
• Moisturizes my skin very well.
• Lathers well and it doesn’t leave this film upon rinsing.
• Didn’t break me out!

What I don’t like:

• It’s limited edition, until everything sold out
• Melts…easily.
• Quite expensive
• Scent doesn’t last long =(

….and those are my thoughts on the items I tried so far. I’m excited to try Ro’s Argan tomorrow and the Love potion tonight!

Lotsa love,
Pia
