L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil
I believe in keeping your skin smooth and fresh even during bath time. One of the products that I have in our bathroom is the L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil. I got aware of this product from Kris Aquino, a local celebrity here. If you’re asking if we’re friends, well, no. Haha! I actually read from one of her articles that she really likes this product. That it moisturizes her skin, makes it soft and smooth. During that time, I was really into L’Occitane products so much that I was pretty much determined to try everything! The only thing holding me back was my wallet. =P
Anyway, I asked around in a forum I frequently visit and they mentioned that the Almond Shower Oil was economical. I was really concerned that I’ll be able to finish the bottle in less than a week. So, reading that it is economical convinced me to purchase from Rustan’s.

L’Occitane’s Almond Shower Oil retails at P1275 (~US $30). It comes in a 250ml bottle with an easy to use cap. Bottle is clear and almond shower oil is in a yellowish color. The scent isn’t overpowering. It’s a bit too strong but still ok. Personally, I use it on special occasions or whenever I wanted a quick but luxurious pampering session only. Teehee! I wanted it to last for a bit longer than usual, besides, this product is quite expensive.
Pros of the L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil:
- A little goes a long way. I find the shower oil economical as it lathers and spreads well all over the body. Economical to use.
- I like that the packaging allows you to control the amount of product you use every bath time.
- I like the light smell it leaves on my skin after a shower.
- True to its word. It leaves a satin-like feel on the skin. It makes my skin very well moisturized and soft. The feeling is even better than getting a body scrub from your local spa. My husband doesn’t like using this because he feels that the oil is still on his skin even after washing it off. Proof that it really moisturizes and hydrates the skin.
- No need to use lotion after bath. The shower oil already moisturized my skin.
- Priced locally at ~US $30. US price is at $24. The $6 difference doesn’t really bother me.
- As for a shaving base, I have tried it once or twice and yes, the blade glides smoothly. It doesn’t leave you with blade cuts.
Cons of the L’Occitane Almond Shower Oil:
- None I can think of.
Would I buy it again?
Definitely. It’s no wonder that the Almond Shower Oil is one of L’Occitane’s bestsellers. This product is perfect for people not fond of lotions or body butter coz you will still be able to moisture and pamper your skin even during bath time. Best to use on special occasions! ;)
