Jason Pure Natural Super-C Cleanser Review

Jason Pure Natural Super-C Cleanser Review

I started using this facial wash from Jason Natural Products right after I started breaking out from using a certain BB cream a few weeks ago. It’s supposed to be a clarifying, yet gentle and non-drying facial wash, and it’s also made of natural ingredients, which I prefer for most of my skin care items. In addition, it contains Vitamin C, like the regular facial cleanser I’ve been using, which is from Avalon Organics. I figured, hey, I’ll just keep consistent with the Vitamin C in my cleansers, since it’s antioxidant and can have anti-aging benefits.

The Jason Super-C Cleanser combines the antioxidant benefits of Vitamins C and E and Orange Fruit Extract to slough off dry skin cells from the skin’s surface. Gently removes makeup and excess surface oil without drying. Ideal for all skin types.

Jason Super-C Cleanser uncapped

This is a pretty big bottle. It contains 6 oz of product, a substantial amount for a facial wash, right? The bottle of Jason Pure Natural Super-C Cleanser looks kind of looks like a small bottle of hairspray, except the bottle is made of  plastic and not aluminum. It’s got a transparent cap, which I find unnecessary because inside, the bottle has that type of dispenser which you press on one side to open and close, and where the liquid comes out in a small hole on the opposite side. It cost around PhP 430.

It smells pleasant to me—a light mix of orange and melon. The consistency is on the thin side, almost watery. This lathers quite well on my face, and doesn’t leave any residue. This makes my skin feel very clean. I used this consecutively after breaking out from a BB cream, and while I also applied a separate anti-acne product, I like to think this helped speed up the process of clearing up my face. In about a week, most of the zits were gone, although there weren’t a whole lot in the first place.

I like using this when I’ve applied heavier-than-usual makeup or BB creams. But I personally find that I can’t use it often because it’s a bit drying. My skin is on the dry side, and when I use this, the dryest parts of my face feel even worse, and get even more flakey.  Perhaps when my face isn’t so dry anymore, I’ll use this more frequently, but for now, I’ll only use this for heavy makeup days or when I’m breaking out.

  • Pleasant scent.
  • Lathers well.
  • Doesn’t cause any irritations.
  • Makes my face feel very clean after use.
  • Seemed to help with minor breakout.
  • Contains a lot of product.
  • May have long term benefits due to Vitamin C and E ingredients.
  • Easy to come by at Healthy Options stores.

Jason Pure Natural Super-C Cleanser – Dislikes:

  • It’s a bit drying on me, when used for days straight.

Overall:

I find good value for money with this. It’s 6 ounces and a small amount is enough to wash my entire face. Though I think it might be more beneficial to those with oily skin, I’ll still use it occasionally since I like how it seemed to contribute to clearing my pimples and how it leaves my skin feeling super clean.
