I tried Human Heart Nature’s shampoos way back when they first launched their brand and website. Along with the shampoos, I ordered other sample sizes of their products and liked most of them, but not the shampoos unfortunately. But that was like what, almost three years ago (wow, time really flies!)? I thought I’d give ‘em another try, since they’ve already been modified and reformulated. I’ll start with a review of the Strengthening Shampoo.

*30 day clinical study comparing Human Nature’s Natural Strengthening Shampoo with shampoos containing sulfates such as SLS/SLES
I’ve been experiencing increased hair fall since I started dyeing my hair again, and it’s actually something I expected and am used to, but there were times during the last few months when it reached alarming levels. I realized after a while that the peaking of my hair fall might have been due to stress. It got better sometime after, although it didn’t go away completely.
I was hoping that the Human Heart Nature Strengthening Shampoo would help with this problem. And I’ll tell you this now—it did! This shampoo has greatly, noticeably reduced my hair fall. So if you’re experiencing the same problem, this is really worth a shot. There’s a sample size available (50 ml, that’s the size I got) that costs just PhP 44.74 on the Human Heart Nature website.
It’s wonderful that it effectively strengthens, however, there are some things that I don’t like about it. It doesn’t lather as much as commercial shampoos because it doesn’t contain SLS (Sodium Laureth Sulfate), though I don’t have any problem with that, I can work with it. What I dislike is that it tends to leave my tresses feeling rough and dry, and my tresses become oilier more quickly when I use this compared to my other shampoos. When used with conditioner (not from the same brand), my hair just doesn’t have the usual smooth appearance it gets from conditioning.
- Really lessened my hair fall.
- It doesn’t make my scalp itchy or flaky.
- Doesn’t give me any pimples along or near my hair line.
- Has a trial size available.
- It’s all-natural.
- It’s inexpensive.
- Can be found at a number of supermarkets.
- Locally-made. Support!
- Leaves my tresses rough and dry.
- Makes my hair oil up quicker than usual.
- The scent. I’m usually not particular about shampoo scent but this reminds me of—sorry—car freshener.
- The smell fades quickly. Gone before mid day.
I’ll keep a bottle of this on stand-by for when my hair fall starts up again, but until then, I won’t be using it much. It’s simply not moisturizing on my dry tresses, and in this heat, I need something that can keep my tresses looking (not oily, please) and smelling fresh. If you have a hair fall problem, I still recommend trying it and observing how it performs on your tresses.
