Garnier Light Complete Multi-action Whitening Cream Review
I tried several sachets of Garnier Light Complete Multi-action Whitening Cream several months ago. I got my Garnier sachets because the day cream I was looking for was not available for months already. I worked in sales and marketing in the past and I’ve seen the importance of companies replenishing store shelves quickly. That way, those customers who’s been loyal to their products would be left with no reason to try other brands. My experience was an example.
Like I always do, I get the smallest pack or the trial pack of products new to me. So if it won’t work, I wouldn’t be wasting too much. I got several 8ml sachets of Garnier Light Complete Multi-action Whitening Cream. The product is white in color and is really creamy. It has that Garnier signature scent. Light complete range claims to have pure lemon essence and salicylic acid.
I have sensitive, acne prone and combination skin. My T-zone area is oily while the rest of my face is normal to dry, depending on the weather where I live. I got this because of its claim of giving an 8 hour shine-free look and that it has UVA and UVB filters.

Dullness, dark-spots, acne marks and oiliness. They are barriers to achieving complete fairness. Garnier Light Complete is a multi-action whitening cream that acts on dullness dark-spots, excess oil and acne marks. It makes your skin visibly fairer while leaving it perfectly clarified.
My experience with Garnier Light Complete Multi-action Whitening Cream
When I first used Garnier Light Complete Multi-action Whitening Cream, after 2 sachets, I noticed an increasing number of whiteheads and blackheads. And there were two to three pimples coming out. I can blame my breakouts on two things, to my illness that time or to this Garnier product. I stopped using this Garnier product and started using Olay Age Protect Anti-Aging UV Lotion because of that. I’ve seen improvements on my skin with Olay. After finishing a bottle of Olay, I decided to continue using my remaining Garnier sachets to give it a chance since I was not sure if it is Garnier that really caused my breakouts. After another sachet, whiteheads and blackheads and pimples are there again. As of now, I love Olay Age Protect UV Lotion and I am on my third bottle already.
Garnier Light Complete Multi-action Whitening Cream – What I Like:
- It smells okay.
- It gives a matte finish.
- It instantly makes my face appear brighter after application. My face is instantly fairer in complexion.
- It did not give me any irritation on my first weeks of use.
- It is lightweight.
- It is absorbed fast by the skin.
- It is affordable.
Garnier Light Complete Multi-action Whitening Cream – What I Don’t Like:
- I find some foundations a bit harder to blend when I use the Garnier Whitening Cream underneath.
- It has UVA and UVB filters but I wish they indicated the SPF value. So I know how it is protective.
- It clogged my pores giving me pesky whiteheads and blackheads. I wonder if it’s the oil trapping formula that’s causing the clog on my pores.
- It eventually gave me pimples.
- I don’t find it helpful in controlling my oil.
Of course we react differently to different products. I find other Garnier products to work for me just fine. Like their heated mask and brightening scrub. I love them. Sadly, this whitening cream just don’t work for me.
