Fanny Serrano Powder Blush in Peach Blossom
I don’t own any Fanny Serrano cosmetics though I’ve heard and read plenty of good reviews about it. That’s why I was so psyched that I got their travel-sized brush set as a gift from a neighbor. I’ve gushed about how soft it is in social media sites, friends and husband. That’s how excited I was about it (and not only because it was free). I decided to buy more of their products such as: foundations, blushes, lip gloss and eyebrow pencils.
I labeled it FS haul when I was balancing my weekly finances. I noticed that my make up hauls have similar trend; one brand, lots of product. (Irrelevant. Sorry.)
So, I’m going to review the product I like the least- the powder blush. Heh!

I kept the box for review purposes. I find black packaging in cosmetics really classy and sophisticated. I thought that I was going to get my money’s worth because it’s huge. When I opened the container, the blush itself and a free brush shared the pan. I forgot the exact price- its around 300 – 400 pesos. I’ll update Ida about the price, I promise.
I find the coral peach shade really pretty and feminine. I was worried that it won’t look natural on my fair to medium skin tone but it turned out to be so sheer it’s unnoticeable on my cheeks. The color is buildable so you’d require a hefty amount of product to show color in your cheeks. Sheer blushes feel like a rip off for me, I’d rather have them opaque.
Such a pretty color, yes? I don’t have a blush in this shade yet. It blends easily so there’s no problem in caking when you put a lot of product on. Again, the packaging is very sturdy and I like the wide mirror inside. The brush is soft but too small for my liking. I use a kabuki brush for this one instead. The fall out is disappointing. I don’t use this when I wear white tops because the application tends to be messy.
Fanny Serrano Powder Blush in Peach Blossom swatched.
I used my finger for swatching. It seems pigmented enough here but when I used a brush the color does not show at all at first. Here’s a closer look of the swatch:
Very pretty peach shade.
Product Claim:
Silky-soft powder blush blends smoothly and easily for a streak-free, natural finish look.

*I don’t know why Peach Blossom is not included on the shades available on the Fanny Serrano cosmetics website. It is similar to Silky Coral though.
What I like about the Fanny Serrano Powder Blush in Peach Blossom: PROS
1. Sturdy and classy packaging.
2. Plenty of shades to choose from.
3. With mirror and brush.
4. No scent.
5. Blends easily.
6. Very buildable.
7. Did not have any negative reactions on my face.
8. Readily and locally available.
What I do NOT like about the Fanny Serrano Powder Blush in Peach Blossom: CONS
1. It applies sheer.
2. A lot of fall out.
3. I find it expensive for its sheer application.
4. Chalky and powdery.
Overall:
I won’t buy this blush again but I’m considering buying their single blushes. I heard some good reviews about it. Just because I don’t love their powder blush doesn’t mean I’m boycotting Fanny Serrano cosmetics line. It’s beginning to be my favorite local brand. As in, number 1! I love their products and I just learned that the manufacturer of their cosmetics is the same outsource makers of Versace and Dior make up products, and many more international and high end brands. How delightfully awesome is that?

Me too, I think Fanny Serrano Cosmetics might be my fave local line at the moment. :-) I didn’t try their blushes talaga as the packaging looked like a blatant knockoff of Chanel blushes. :-D The color sure looks pretty though!
