Ever Bilena Lip Color Extreme Shine in 703 Review
I got this lipstick last year when I was still experimenting with local makeup brands. I never liked shimmery lipsticks so I tend to stick with satin or matte lipsticks. Ever Bilena is one of the leading local brands we have here so I always check them out.
Lip Color Extreme Shine in 703 is a very nice red lipstick, perfect for daytime since it isn’t that bold. It also provides long-lasting color with a smooth, opaque matte finish. It has hints of pink so basically that would be a clue that it is truly wearable during the day or at work or even school. If I wear this at work I just dab it then blot and dab it again. Applying it full on is not really my thing if I’ll wear it at work. Save that for evening wear :D This doesn’t look flat but doesn’t have a lot of shine too. Really nice color!
It is really pigmented and has a nice color but there’s something in me that doesn’t make me reach for this quite often. I prefer Revlon’s Fire & Ice over this one. I think it’s because I prefer retro colors.
The texture is very smooth and glides well on my lips. This lipstick I think is rich in emollients since it leaves my lips soft, smooth and supple This doesn’t drag my lips when applying. This looks natural like matte lippies though it is not that drying like matte lipsticks. I didn’t experience flaking. That is quite gross you know! Flaking lips! No no! I always make sure to soak my lips first with my reliable Nivea Strawberry Lipbalm or my trusty Vaseline petroleum jelly!
Like opaque shades this lippie also settles on the outer corners of my lips after eating a heavy meal, which looks kinda gross! Haha! It looks like I wore a lip liner without filling my lips in. Very old school! Nevertheless I don’t experience this if I’m only eating crackers or sipping cola via straw. :) Only with a heavy full course meal.
This doesn’t have a scent so win win! It doesn’t taste like anything since basically it doesn’t have a scent. Satin lippies specially pigmented ones really stay on my lips for about 5 hours. So no need for reapplication unless I ate something.
I tried applying this as a cream blush, it gives a nice color too. Though it really fades after an hour or two maybe due to the fact that I have oily skin.

Ever Bilena Lip Color Extreme Shine in 703 - What I Like About It:
- Very nice shade of red
- Has pink hints
- Glides well
- Creamy texture
- Doesn’t dry out my lips
- Wearable red in the morning
- Doesn’t settle on fine lines of my lips
- Long wearing and doesn’t transfer to surfaces
- Locally available
- Can be applied as cream blush
Ever Bilena Lip Color Extreme Shine in 703 - What I Don’t Like About It:
- I prefer Revlon Fire& Ice Red shade of red :)
- Like opaque shades this lippie also settles on the outer corners of my lips
- It is nuisance to recap it since the lipstick is exposed like Shu Uemura lipsticks.
This lippie applies like a matte color but with a satin finish. Sometimes satin lippies are called semi-matte finish lipsticks. It also lasts long like matte lipsticks but it’s not too drying. It is a good alternative to matte lipsticks if you have lips that are always dry.
I still love this lippie though I still prefer the retro shade of red. But girls, I recommend that you check this out!
