Ever Bilena Glitter Eyeliner in Black
I don’t find myself using eyeliners much these days, but my interest in eye shadows seems to have awakened, and when I put those on, the look just feels incomplete without eyeliner. So I’ve started to get myself more eyeliners to choose from. I find pencil liners easier to apply, but then they also smear and fade a bit easily. I checked among local brands of makeup for decent liquid liners, and one of the ones I picked up was the Ever Bilena Glitter Eyeliner in Black.
The Ever Bilena Glitter Eyeliner in Black isn’t super glittery, but has fine silver shimmers. It applies glossy, but once it’s dry, it’s got a matte finish. It’s a nice, solid black shade, but I’ve seen blacker blacks among other drugstore liners. The small silver shimmers also seem to lighten the shade a bit, and I thought that might make it a less harsh looking for use during daytime.
It costs only PhP 125 and can be found at most cosmetics section at drugstores and malls.

The tip of the applicator is thin and not splayed, and allows me to draw a very fine line on my lash line. The packaging is very basic, but the cap of the bottle, which is elongated is tapered, is made for an easy grip. It’s the size of a small pen and I don’t find it hard to use.
There’s no strong scent to the product which I’m glad about ’cause usually cheap liquid liners have a whiteboard-marker line scent which I find rather unpleasant.
The formula glides on smoothly on the lids and isn’t clumpy. It’s not too thick either. I like how glossy it looks right after being applied and also how the little shimmers look when they catch the light. Pretty. This doesn’t dry very quickly which I actually prefer, since I’m not too good at applying liquid eyeliner and that lets me wipe off any mistakes. It dries fully after about 5 minutes, and once it’s dry, it doesn’t smear or transfer at all even when I try smudging it with my finger.
It sounds great so far, but after about 3 or 4 hours of wear, what I notice is that it starts crackling up. So although it doesn’t smudge, by the end of the day, most of it’s off anyway because it’s pretty much just peeled or flaked off.
It also feels kind of stiff on my lids—sometimes I feel it when I blink, but after I while it’s no longer bothersome.
Ever Bilena eyeliner swatched. See what I’m talking about? That small dot on the top right area is from the liner.
So, here’s what I like about the Ever Bilena Glitter Eyeliner in Black:
- The applicator is good and lets my draw a fine line. It’s also not hard to handle or grip.
- The formula glides on easily.
- Doesn’t dry too quickly.
- It’s not strongly scented.
- It doesn’t make my skin or eyes sting.
- It’s only PhP 100.
- I can buy it at a lot of places.
And what I don’t like about the Ever Bilena Glitter Eyeliner in Black:
- The matte finish it has once it’s dry on my lids makes the color and and overall look of the product appear flat to me.
- It gets a little crackly and flakey on my lids.
- The line I applied is no longer intact after just 3-4 hours of wear.
