Ever Bilena Advance Mascara Duo with Silicon Brush Review
I don’t like spending much on mascara because it’s one of the cosmetics whose recommended shelf life I strictly follow, meaning, 3 or 4 months after I open it, whatever the state of it is, I stop using it and throw it in the bin. Why? Because my eyes are prone to itching and redness, and I don’t wanna risk getting them irritated. I was doing my usual rounds at the local makeup counters, and thought the Ever Bilena Advance Mascara Duo with Silicon Brush looked interesting.

No product information or instructions on the packaging or brand website, so I’m assuming the white end is the primer and applied first, and the black end is the mascara. This costs PhP 180 at drugstores and department stores.
I was surprised that the primer looked like glue—I’ve only tried one lash primer before, which was Etude House’s Dr. Mascara Fixer and it had a clear, gel-like consistency; I’d assumed most mascara primers would be like that—but no worries, because this only looks like glue, its consistency isn’t as thick or sticky.
I also like that neither the primer/base or the mascara have a strong smell. Both barely have any scent to them and don’t sting my eye or make it water.
When I use this, I coat the lashes with the white primer, then follow up immediately with the mascara. The primer looks white and clumpy on the eyelashes, but once I put on the mascara, all traces of white get covered up. The white product does make the mascara apply smoothly and helps prevent clumping. I know because I tried using the mascara alone and with the primer, and it definitely went on with minimal clumping and more natural when used with the primer, as compared to when I used the mascara by itself.
The Advance Mascara Duo with Silicon Brush helps make my lashes appear longer but has a natural-looking finish. It helps that it has a primer which makes the mascara apply smoothly and without much clumps. The mascara is also not a very intense black like I’ve seen on other mascaras.

No clumps, right? Whoa…wrinkly lids!
Ever Bilena Advance Mascara Duo with Silicon Brush – Likes:
- No strong chemical scent.
- Doesn’t sting or make my eyes watery or red.
- The tubes on both ends have a mechanism where they ‘lock’ and don’t open too easily when you turn them and hear a click.
- Helps make my eyelashes look longer.
- The finish looks very natural.
- Minimal clumping with the use of the primer.
- No issues with the brushes. Easy to use.
- Not hard to remove. I’m able to take it off with just facial wash and water.
- It’s inexpensive.
- It’s easily accessible.
Ever Bilena Advance Mascara Duo with Silicon Brush – Dislikes:
- It smears a little bit. This is not waterproof, but I’d prefer if it didn’t smear on the outer corners of my eyes after a while. I wish the primer also helped make it stay in place.
- Doesn’t do much for volumizing the lashes.
- The packaging’s kinda bulky.
Overall:
This is a good choice for a mascara if you like your lashes looking longer and a bit more lush but still natural-looking. I think it’d be good for use during the daytime or to events where you don’t need your mascara to be durable, like short trips to the mall, supermarket, or running errands, stuff like that. But I wouldn’t use it for a night out, long events, or when I know there might be sweating involved because it might smudge and smear. That said, it’s generally a good product and IMO a nice choice of mascara if you’d prefer something affordable.

i think this is a dupe for the Loreal Double-something mascara. it also came with a white primer like that. Personally, I didn’t find the primer useful. The white bits still show up. :(
Ako naman I find it useful. I find that the mascara applies more clumpy talaga when I don’t use the primer beforehand. The white bits don’t show up for me either, even in the macro shot, halos wala. But I try to use only a little of it.
