ELF Two Way Cake Foundation Review
On my first visit to ELF, I bought 4 items because they were so interesting and budget-friendly. Like for the 4 items, they only summed up to less than P640. One of it the items I got was the Two Way Cake Foundation. I bought my items from Watson’s at SM Mall of Asia for P249.75 only.
ELF is one makeup brand that is much raved about. It is one of Oprah Winfrey’s favorite things list. I tried subscribing to the ELF website before, just to see the products they have since there is no ELF booth or stand here in SM Baguio. As a subscriber, I received thru e-mail very enticing promos and discounts every now and then from ELF. They do not ship to the Philippines so I could not take advantage of the promos they were offering. Anyways, I needed to consider how much shipping to the Philippines is right? Besides, ELF is available in most Watson’s stores. Why not in Baguio?
I took the Beige shade of the ELF Two-Way Cake Foundation. I think they only have 2 shades available for this foundation and this is the lighter one. I don’t know if the shade availability is the same for all ELF counters or if that was only for MOA. I always take the shade that is one shade lighter than my skin tone because I am acidic. They tend to darken on my skin after hours. So using the lighter shade solves the problem.
ELF Packaging says:
This dual function foundation can be used wet for a creamy sheer coverage or dry for a matte full coverage. The easy to blend and lightweight formula is great for all skin types and gives a natural looking finish for all day wear.

My thoughts on ELF Two Way Cake Foundation
The packaging is a flimsy, plastic, glossy, black compact with the product name on the lid.
As you open the compact, you’ll find a mirror, which easily detached. Mine fell off only a week after I bought it. What I did, I used double adhesive tape to secure the mirror again. Opposite the mirror is the foundation itself. On the compartment below the foundation is a light pink sponge. I’d say I love the sponge. It has the thickness I like, smooth and sturdy. This has 8.5 grams of product.
What I like about it:
- It has sunscreen protection. It is very good for outdoor use.
- Coverage is medium to full. This foundation is really a foundation. You know what I mean. It covers light blemishes and big pores.
- But I still use concealer on my under eye. My dark under eye is a different story, really needs concealer.
- I use this dry, it has a matte finish. It brightens my skin nicely.
- It’s very light on the skin. It is perfect for everyday use.
- Perfect for achieving natural-looking skin.
- Lasts on my skin for 4 hours, considering I have combination to oily skin.
- This is a very affordable foundation.
What I don’t like about it:
- Just the compact casing.
See the beauty in everything,
