Belo Essentials Whitening Anti-Perspirant Deodorant Review
I’m glad to be able to say that my underarms aren’t dark, and I’m not ashamed to bare them when I wear swimsuits or sleeveless tops, but they’re not totally even-toned could use definitely use a product that would even out their color. When I saw the Belo Essentials Whitening Anti-perspirant Deodorant at Watsons, I knew this was a new product, and I just had to try it out.
Information on the bottle:
A revolutionary anti-perspirant deodorant that effectively whitens underarms in just 7 days!
- Controls darkening before it starts.
- Soothes skin from plucking and shaving.
- Minimizes pores.
- Hypoallergenic and dermatologist tested.
The bottle is the smaller sizer and contains 25 ml of product. It cost about PhP 50 and should be available at Watsons, as well as department stores and most supermarkets if it isn’t already. It has a floral scent which I’m not very fond of, but it’s quite mild, and I find that it doesn’t linger long on my skin.
This is in roll-on form, and on the bottle the instructions tell me to apply 4 swipes on each underarm, daily. 4 swipes of this feels pretty wet, I tell you. It takes some time to dry off completely, around 10 minutes which I can’t really wait off when I’m in a hurry. Good thing it doesn’t stain the armpit area of my clothes, nor does it leave obvious white marks (more like small white bits that can be brushed off) on gray or black shirts when my underarms happen to graze the outside of my shirt as I’m putting it on.
I don’t typically sweat heavily, so I don’t often need heavy-duty deodorants/anti-perspirants, but I find this pretty weak as an anti-perspirant. Towards the end of a typical hot, humid day in Manila, and even in the cooler, rainy weather we’ve been having lately, my underarms don’t stay dry and even feel a bit damp. There’s no foul smell though, only a faint hint of the scent of this deodorant.
As for the whitening effect, after over 2 weeks of daily use, yes, I did notice a slight whitening effect. The overall color of the skin on my underarms seem a little more even. So I’m definitely gonna keep using this to see if it makes my underarms even lighter and more even.
A piece of advice though, if you buy the Belo Essentials Whitening Anti-perspirant/deodorant and wanna check if it’s giving your armpits a whitening effect, don’t examine your pits right after applying this, because it leaves a thin white coat of stuff on the skin, which can make the skin look fairer than it actually is. Rather, check your pits right after a shower, before applying this deodorant.
