An Outfit of the Day Post? Yes.
I’m not really a fashion blogger…nor do I aspire to be one. I’m pretty shy and usually feel awkward when having my pictures taken. I’m happy dressing lazy when I want to and being more adventurous in my style choices when I feel like it. I’m content with browsing my favorite fashion blogs and the pages of my fave magazines (I ♥ Teen Vogue).
Some months ago, Rati, who is technically, my boss, started Faux Pas, a fashion and lifestyle blog. I love seeing the easy elegance in her outfits, and the photos? A visual treat. Recently I’ve seen outfit posts contributed by readers to IMBB and I thought that was cool how they shared what they wore. So I’ve been thinking of OOTD posts more as sharing, not as something that has to look absolutely good or cute. And here’s the simple outfit I wore yesterday, Sunday.
We were house and dog-sitting from last week Thursday until yesterday, Sunday, for my parents and sisters-in-law who went on a trip to Thailand. Lately the weather in the Metro has been gloomy, but on Sunday, it was sweltering hot, so I slipped on a sheer, cream-colored dress I’d found in my mom’s closet. Not really her closet but more like a closet where she stores things she bought but didn’t really open or use.
Looking more orange here than I actually am because of the pa-lomo effect I used. To my sisters-in-law, if you see this, hey, I used your mirror ah? We’ll see you soon. :)
The fabric of this dress reminded me of cheesecloth. I had to wear a slip underneath it otherwise it would look funny. Hehe. My shoes are by Anthology and the big animal-print bag by my feet, given to me by my sister, was real useful for all the stuff I brought from home. Incidentally, the bag is from Thailand, because my sister also vacationed there recently.
Makaluma itsura ng pic na ‘to. Cute cutouts on the hem of the dress.
Recently I downgraded from a DSLR to a point n’ shoot because the DSLR was really my dad’s, and I didn’t know how to fully operate the manual settings, but my dad kindly replaced it with this brand new camera. I’m already getting the hang of using its macro settings, but non-macro, not so much. I could really feel the difference between the two cameras when taking these photos…anyway, I wonder who takes fashion bloggers’ photos? Is there always a boyfriend, husband, friend, or yaya (like Bryan Boy has)? In my case it’ll have to be a self-timer and tripod.
Well, there’s what I wore Sunday! By the way was the weather even hotter today, or what? Cheers and have a great week ahead!
