4 Easy Hair Styles for Women with Long Hair
Ever find yourself wondering how to style your long hair? Here are 4 easy hair styles for women with long hair, which you might want to try out. These are easy to do and will perfectly complement your everyday outfits. Whether you’re headed to the office, grocery shopping or simply hanging out with friends and loved ones, these will keep you looking pretty without much fuss.
The Posh Ponytail
The ponytail is probably one of the easiest styles you can wear if you need to head out the door in a rush. You can amp up the chicness of your ponytail by doing something really simple. Instead of just grabbing a rubber band or tie and just tying it off the bat. Try adding a little volume up top with the help of a styling mouse. Carefully pull your hair to create a high ponytail, taking care not to flatten the top. Leave a small portion of your hair at the bottom part.
Once you have the ponytail, take the leftover portion and gently twist it around the tie, covering it completely. Secure the end with a pin or simply tuck it into the band itself. This is a really easy style and perfect for the office or if you just want to look chic even while doing the groceries.
Loose Sidebraids
Braids have been making a comeback this past few seasons and it’s showing no signs of stopping. From fishtails to romantic Celtic types of braids to even complicated weave braids; it’s captured the fascination of most women everywhere.
One of the simplest and easiest braids to try out is the sidebraid. You don’t need to be a genius to do this. Simply gather all of your hair to one side then braid them. Finish it off with a tie. Once done, slightly tug or pull the braids apart with your fingers to give it a messier look. You can do as much or as little depending on the effect you want.
Do the Twist and Pin
Probably one hair style you can finish in about 30 seconds. Just part your hair the way you want. (I think it looks better when side parted) Then go ahead and take a small section at the front of your hair. Twist this all the way or just a small portion of it then secure with a pin. It’s that easy!
Messy Bun
One of my favorites in this collection, the messy side bun is super easy to do and gives you that bohemian chic vibe. To do this, tie off your hair into a low ponytail. If you want a low messy bun, form the ponytail at the nape of your neck but if you want it to be a bit higher then form the ponytail at the center of your head, around two inches above your ear.
Then slowly turn it into a soft bun by wrapping the hair around in a circle. No need to be perfect about it. Tuck in the tip inside the elastic. Letting several pieces or sections fall off will add beauty to the entire look.
All of these hair styles can be done in just a matter of minutes. If you prefer a visual presentation than instructions in text, feel free to head on over to YouTube. You’ll find a wealth of videos showing you how to create these super simple and chic hair styles. Have fun!

Nice.. I have long hair and this really helps. I don’t know if I can get away though with the Messy Bun. :duh:
I like the sidebraid. It’s cute! I’m gonna try it, although I’m not sure my hair is long enough for it yet.
I so was searching for good hair styles for long hair as I have very long hair almost to my lower back..love the messy bun and twist pin up! must try twist and pin soon! thanks!
I do the twist and pin every time I want to FEEL and LOOK girly. :) must try the messy bun soon.
I have been doing the braid for years now. Its the best way to pull your hair back without putting heat on it. If you braid your hair back wet then twist back either 1 piece or each side it’s a great after work look. Not to mention will keep the long hair healthy and from breaking off!
I’ve never tried braiding my hair while it’s wet- I think it’s a great idea as well for those who’ll be commuting and don’t have time to blowdry or airdry.
